SIL International

SIL International is a faith-based non-profit organization that serves language communities worldwide. Founded in 1934, they have engaged more than 2,600 languages, representing more than 1.7 billion people in nearly 100 countries.

Their staff — approximately 5,000 from nearly 80 countries — work alongside communities and with partners to harness the power of language to address the social, cultural, economic, and spiritual needs that communities face.

They believe that the Bible translated clearly, naturally, and accurately into a language that speaks to the heart, provides a powerful means for experiencing God’s blessing and wholeness.
